Thing #7

Technology of interest
I'm currently interested in PDA phones. Apparently there is quite a number of brands to choose from, of which Blackberry seems to be the more popular one as they are the first to start this type of technology. However, it has its own operating system. As such, I tend to skew more to O2 XDA Flame as it uses Microsoft OS, which I'm more comfortable with.
With a PDA phone, less paper will be used and it is not necessary to lug a notebook along for meetings. Its' size allows mobility and quick access to information, calendar, to-do-list, etc.
That being said, I'm still hoping that the price for such a gadget will drop so that it is more affordable for me. In the meantime, I'll still be using my tried amd trusted calendar organizer, and my handphone.

Use of Flickr in class
Hmm...perhaps the students can upload their photos of landscape, materials or plants and explain why they like or do not like these, so that they can share with the class. They can also get inspiration from other photos uploaded by other users.

In life, humans have the freedom to roam the land but have to contend with nature's changing weather conditions.
Are humans stewards of the land? We are, but more importantly, we should be gentle with nature in order to enjoy having an awesome view like this for generations to come.

Thing #2 - cont'd...

Got some help from Murray and managed to go through the slides. It'll be more interesting with audio, I think.
Anyway, now that I know what the 7-1/2 habits are, I'll think about what my next passionate pursuit will be as I've so many interests...photography, painting, sketching, travelling, taking my Masters... Then set my goal, stick with it and have a positive attitude towards learning while having fun in the process. Life is short...work hard & play hard. :)

I have registered my blog on wiki MeL. The exciting journey begins...

Well, I finally have my own blog. I never thought of having one since I do not like to broadcast my thoughts and feelings. But times have changed. Exchange of ideas and thoughts travels across countries faster these days with improved technologies, and people spend more time with strangers online than they do with their families.
Still, blogs are interesting. Let's see what I'll put on my blog. :)

Looks like a brand new dawn for learners. We no longer just use the internet to get information but also to communicate with the rest of the world. Learning is no longer fixed at a specific location, but learning is online 24/7 wherever we are. It's such an exciting era for knowledge- hungry learners.
