In life, humans have the freedom to roam the land but have to contend with nature's changing weather conditions.
Are humans stewards of the land? We are, but more importantly, we should be gentle with nature in order to enjoy having an awesome view like this for generations to come.

but i guess, unknowingly in our ignorance we consume so much stuff that it ends up destroying the environment.
That's true, which is why we should encourage everyone to be more sensitive to the environment.
